Memories in China.

On the first fay, April 29, we arrived at Toyama Kito-kito airport.

“Kito-kito” might come from dialect of Toyama prefecture, but I didn’t know what it meant.

When I saw the name of this airport “Kito-kito” at the first time, I was surprised and disappointed.

What a bad taste it was, I thought.

Maybe, the godfather wanted to make the airport friendly to people.

But I must say that it is not so much intelligent.

I went to China as a university program, and there were about 30 participants in the group.

3 people including me came from same faculty, we had known each other because we already had met each other in classrooms every day. During the China visit, we always acted together, we might seem like so close.

On the first day, we departed from the certain bad-named airport at 10A.M., and arrived at Dalian airport at Chinese time 1P.M. This flight only costed us 4 hours (because of the time difference among China and Japan, 13 minus 10 equals 4.). But it is strange, when I went to Fukushima prefecture to do snowboarding, it costed 13 hours to go there. Fukushima is in Japan’s mainland, and China is over the Sea of Japan. What happen on the earth? Did I enter a wonderland when I went to Fukushima prefecture? Why the way to Fukushima costed me so much time though it is closer to Kanazawa than Dalian, China? I have no idea!! I might be under charm.

Since I couldn’t get asleep on this day at all, I was so tired and irritated from the morning.

I might seem like very aggressive and displeased.

We got on a bus arranged by Chinese university Dalian university of technology or DUT, our host university.

We saw Dalian city from the inside of the bus, and that was so advanced far beyond our past imaginations.

There was so large skyscraper, a lot of cars, various signboards, expresses and highways.

The city was so large and seemed like so rich.

We are astonished by the advanced city.

We arrived at the hotel called Dalian grand continent hotel, in the center of the city.

It is located nearby Dalian station that is the center of transportation in Dalian city.

The station is also large, and the square is also large and flourished.

There are a lot of people, cars, shops and food stands.

A welcome party was held in the hotel restaurant.

We are surprised and so glad because the hotel was so luxury and clean, food was so gorgeous and delicious.

Some Chinese students at DUT came to the party. We had a lot of delicious dinner and so delicious a beer called “雪華” or snow flour. That is Chinese national beer and promoted by Chinese government. The price is just 2 Chinese yen each bin. It is so inexpensive and delicious, so we loved and drunk it a lot during the program.

A twin room in the hotel was only for me. Thus, I could occupy the twin room alone. It will be a large benefit for me, but in fact, I was lonely. Since I am a person who won’t to be alone and cannot bear it, I was a little bit sad, and I felt that I was discriminated by the university.

But I reconsidered it and I noticed that nobody tried to hurt my mind, and I got a comfortable place. So, I thrown my past persecution complex away, I recovered from it.

And I must say, if I want to invite others in my room, I should use my room clean. Nobody wants to come into a dirty and bad-smelled room. I should think what everybody wants and how they think.
